Maes Tegid was awash with orange on Bank Holiday Monday as Bala Town FC hosted a hugely successful Bala Juniors Day during our home fixture against Newtown.

Around 30 young players from Bala Juniors attended the match wearing their distinctive orange kits, creating a fantastic atmosphere around the ground and demonstrating the strength of the football community in Bala.
To mark the occasion, Bala Town’s first team also wore the club’s new orange and green away kit. Inspired by the colours of Bala Juniors, the kit represents the growing partnership between the two clubs and their shared commitment to providing a clear pathway for local players.

The day began with an opportunity for the Bala Juniors players to meet members of the first-team squad and management staff. It gave the youngsters the chance to speak to the players, have photographs taken and collect autographs while experiencing what it means to be part of their hometown senior club.

The youngsters then took part in a mixed-age and mixed-gender five-a-side tournament on the Maes Tegid pitch, with the Bala Town first-team players watching from the sidelines. It was a fantastic opportunity for players from across the different Bala Juniors teams to play together, showcase their skills and enjoy the experience of playing on the first-team pitch.

The young players then took their places around Maes Tegid to support the Lakesiders, with their enthusiasm and energy helping to create a brilliant family atmosphere throughout the afternoon.

At half-time, attention returned to the pitch as representatives from Bala Juniors took part in a penalty shoot-out. It was another memorable experience for everyone involved and gave the young players the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the Maes Tegid crowd.

There was also plenty happening away from the pitch. The Fanzone welcomed Spirit of ’58 and its pop-up shop, offering supporters a wide selection of Welsh football merchandise and adding another special element to the occasion.

Most importantly, Bala Juniors Day celebrated the people who make grassroots football possible. Players, parents, coaches and volunteers all play an essential role in creating opportunities for children across the area to enjoy football, develop their skills and experience the benefits of being part of a team.

The event also demonstrated what the partnership between Bala Town and Bala Juniors is aiming to achieve. The relationship is about much more than sharing colours. It is about bringing the two clubs closer together, supporting the development of players and coaches, and ensuring that young footballers can see a pathway from their first experiences with Bala Juniors through to representing Bala Town.
Bala Juniors are celebrating their 35th anniversary, and the success of the day provided fitting recognition of everything the club has achieved during the last three and a half decades.

Bala Town FC would like to thank everyone from Bala Juniors who attended and helped make the day such a success, along with all the volunteers, staff, supporters and partners who contributed to the event.

It was a wonderful celebration of football in Bala and another important step in the growing relationship between the two clubs.

Roedd Maes Tegid yn fôr o oren ar ddydd Llun Gŵyl y Banc wrth i CPD Y Bala gynnal diwrnod hynod lwyddiannus i CPDI Y Bala yn ystod ein gêm gartref yn erbyn Y Drenewydd.

Daeth tua 30 o chwaraewyr ifanc CPDI Y Bala i’r gêm yn gwisgo eu citiau oren nodweddiadol, gan greu awyrgylch gwych o amgylch y maes a dangos cryfder y gymuned bêl-droed yn y Bala.

I nodi’r achlysur, gwisgodd tîm cyntaf Y Bala hefyd git oddi cartref oren a gwyrdd newydd y clwb. Wedi’i ysbrydoli gan liwiau CPDI Y Bala, mae’r cit yn cynrychioli’r bartneriaeth gynyddol rhwng y ddau glwb a’u hymrwymiad ar y cyd i ddarparu llwybr clir i chwaraewyr lleol.

Dechreuodd y diwrnod gyda chyfle i chwaraewyr CPDI Y Bala gwrdd ag aelodau o garfan a staff rheoli’r tîm cyntaf. Rhoddodd hyn gyfle i’r chwaraewyr ifanc siarad â’r chwaraewyr, tynnu lluniau a chasglu llofnodion, wrth gael blas ar yr hyn y mae’n ei olygu i fod yn rhan o uwch glwb eu tref enedigol.

Yna, cymerodd y chwaraewyr ifanc ran mewn twrnament pump bob ochr cymysg o ran oedran a rhyw ar gae Maes Tegid, gyda chwaraewyr tîm cyntaf Y Bala yn gwylio o’r ystlys. Roedd yn gyfle gwych i chwaraewyr o wahanol dimau CPDI Y Bala chwarae gyda’i gilydd, arddangos eu sgiliau a mwynhau’r profiad o chwarae ar gae’r tîm cyntaf.

Yna, cymerodd y chwaraewyr ifanc eu lle o amgylch Maes Tegid i gefnogi’r Bala, gyda’u brwdfrydedd a’u hegni yn helpu i greu awyrgylch teuluol gwych drwy gydol y prynhawn.

Yn ystod yr egwyl, dychwelodd y sylw i’r cae wrth i gynrychiolwyr CPDI Y Bala gymryd rhan mewn cystadleuaeth giciau o’r smotyn. Roedd yn brofiad cofiadwy arall i bawb a gymerodd ran, gan roi cyfle i’r chwaraewyr ifanc arddangos eu sgiliau o flaen torf Maes Tegid.
Roedd digon yn digwydd oddi ar y cae hefyd. Croesawodd y Fanzone siop ‘pop-up’ Spirit of ’58, oedd yn cynnig amrywiaeth eang o nwyddau pêl-droed Cymru ac yn ychwanegu elfen arbennig arall at yr achlysur.

Yn bwysicaf oll, roedd diwrnod CPDI Y Bala yn dathlu’r bobl sy’n gwneud pêl-droed ar lawr gwlad yn bosibl. Mae chwaraewyr, rhieni, hyfforddwyr a gwirfoddolwyr i gyd yn chwarae rhan hanfodol wrth greu cyfleoedd i blant ledled yr ardal fwynhau pêl-droed, datblygu eu sgiliau a phrofi manteision bod yn rhan o dîm.

Roedd y digwyddiad hefyd yn dangos yr hyn y mae’r bartneriaeth rhwng CPD Y Bala a CPDI Y Bala yn ceisio’i gyflawni. Mae’r berthynas yn ymwneud â llawer mwy na rhannu lliwiau. Mae’n ymwneud â dod â’r ddau glwb yn agosach at ei gilydd, cefnogi datblygiad chwaraewyr a hyfforddwyr, a sicrhau bod pêl-droedwyr ifanc yn gallu gweld llwybr o’u profiadau cyntaf gyda CPDI Y Bala hyd at gynrychioli CPD Y Bala.

Mae CPDI Y Bala yn dathlu ei benblwydd yn 35 oed, ac roedd llwyddiant y diwrnod yn gydnabyddiaeth deilwng o bopeth mae’r clwb wedi’i gyflawni dros y trideg pump mlynedd diwethaf.

Hoffai CPD Y Bala ddiolch i bawb o CPDI Y Bala a ddaeth i’r digwyddiad ac a helpodd i wneud y diwrnod yn gymaint o lwyddiant, ynghyd â’r holl wirfoddolwyr, staff, cefnogwyr a phartneriaid a gyfrannodd at yr achlysur.
Roedd yn ddathliad gwych o bêl-droed yn y Bala ac yn gam pwysig arall yn y berthynas gynyddol rhwng y ddau glwb.
