The FAW have revealed that Bala Town have received a bye in the Welsh Cup Round One and will enter the draw in Round Two. 60 clubs progressed from last weekend’s Second Qualifying Round and they will be joined by 28 clubs from Tier 2 at this stage. Last season’s four-highest ranked Tier 2 clubs – Newtown, Bala Town, Caerau Ely and Llanelli Town – have received byes and will enter the competition alongside the Novira Cymru Premier clubs in Round Two. It’s been a busy spell off the pitch at Maes Tegid with the development of a brand new Fanzone for the 2026-27 season. The Fanzone is situated infront of the club’s dressing rooms with the old Club office and memorial wall both relocated to enhance the space. A new bar has been purchased and an undercover area has been created for fans to congregate and also take part in activities that we will be organising on our themed matchdays at Maes Tegid. Bala Town FC can confirm that Cameron Ferguson has departed the Club by mutual agreement following constructive and amicable discussions between both parties. Cameron spent six months with the Club and quickly became a favourite with our supporters through his commitment, professionalism, and performances. He was also highly regarded by the management team and his teammates, becoming a valued member of the squad both on and off the pitch.
